Financial Accountability

In difficult times, we're reminded of the importance of reliable services to help us get back on our feet.  We must ensure that our services are efficient and well maintained for the benefit of all residents.  However, it's as important as ever that our money (whether generated by user fees or tax dollars) is well spent and that our services are cost-effective.

Public Oversight

Public oversight of our programs and careful management of city contracts must be enforced to guarantee that our tax dollars are spent wisely and for the benefit of the local economy. We must make sure that all projects receive the proper scrutiny and balance between their cost and their impact on the community.

Land Acknowledgement

I acknowledge the traditional land on which we reside, is in Treaty Six Territory. And I would like to thank the diverse Indigenous Peoples whose ancestors’ footsteps have marked this territory for centuries, such as Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux, and Blackfoot.
I also recognize this as the Métis’ homeland and the home of one of the largest communities of Inuit south of the 60th parallel.
