About Jo-Anne


Prior to being elected in 2021 to represent the residents of Ward Sspomitapi, Jo-Anne had worked primarily in the financial services industry for over 30 years. In 2015, she achieved her Bachelor of Human Resources & Labour Relations degree from Athabasca University with a focus on adult learning & development in the workplace.

Born and raised in Edmonton, and a mother of three, now adult children, Jo-Anne has long been dedicated to building strong communities. 

Since 2021, Jo-Anne is proud to have served Edmonton as City Councillor for Ward Sspomitapi. She continues to work collaboratively with her council colleagues and participates in a number of committees including Chair of the Community & Public Services Committee and a member of the Audit Committee. She is Council Advisor to the Community Services Advisory Board and GEF Seniors Housing and represents Edmonton at the Inter-City Forum on Social Policy.
